Cast Iron Wednesday 06-21-2023: Celebrating the Solstice with Cornell Chicken
It's the beginning of summer, and today is the longest day of the year. That means it's time to have some fun cooking! And so, tonight on Cast Iron Wednesday, we'll be looking at a grilled chicken recipe that is said to have changed the way America makes chicken: Cornell chicken, the "scientific" chicken recipe from Cornell University in New York. I'm skeptical about how scientific this really is, but it's definitely a recipe that swept the country when it was introduced in the mid-20th century. It's cheap and easy to make...and most importantly, it's delicious. And so we'll be doing some indoor cast iron grilling tonight!
