Today we’re taking a look at the RTX 4060 8gb GPU in the Final Fantasy 14 Dawntrail benchmark. As most of us know by now, this benchmark is a little hard on systems than the Endwalker version but Final Fantasy 14 still remains a very playable game even on modest or older hardware. I’ll be benchmarking 1080p, 1440p, and 4k and I’ll even have some DLSS runs in here too. The test system specs are a Ryzen 7700X, be quiet Pure Loop 2 360mm all in one water cooler, the AsRock X670E PG Lightning motherboard, 32GB of G.Skill DDR5 6000MTs memory, the Gigabyte RTX 4060 8GB, all powered by the be quiet Straight power 1,000 watt PSU in the be quiet Shadow base 800 FX case. I have the 1080p Desktop Standard quality, the Desktop High quality, and the Maximum quality benchmark runs up on the screen now. There’s a few specific graphics tests contained within the benchmark meant to test different aspects of your system but from looking at the test runs, 1080p is no issue from the lowest quality all the way up to the maximum quality. I think 1080p might still be the most common screen resolution so it's good to see we can really crank up the graphics quality here and keep high framerates.
