Today we’re taking a look at the be quiet Dark Base 901 case. Be quiet sent this over for review with the launch of the white versions of some of their cases. The 901 is a relatively large and in my opinion, extremely well thought out case. The 901 is slightly different from a lot of other cases in that it supports multiple configurations for not only increased air flow if you need it but the option for maximum noise reduction and you can even invert or reverse the motherboard orientation to flip this case like many other be quiet models. The 901 comes with top and front panels, this is how they are reducing the noise output if installed or open up the cooling capability if removed. The 901 supports up to 11 fans total which is a lot of cooling capacity. You can install up to 3x140mm front fans, 3x140mm top fans, up 3x120mm side fans, there’s a 120/140 bottom fan mount and of course a 120/140mm rear fan mount. In the stock configuration you’re getting 2 silent wings 4 140mm fans on the front and 1 on the rear for a total of 3 included fans.
