Wavlink ST 348 Dual NVMe Enclosure: https://amzn.to/3YSw2mD
Today we're taking a look at the Wavlink ST348 dual NVMe cloning device, thanks to Wavlink for sending this over and sponsoring the video. The ST348 is an interesting little NVMe device. It supports connecting two PCIe NVMe SSDs for either offline cloning without a PC which is handy or you can use this as a PCIe NVMe to USB enclosure of sorts and connect two drives to your PC at up to 20gbits which is very nice if you want to run games or apps if of one or both of the drives. The kit here is coming with the main coming device which has a sliding lid so you can install your drives. Wavlink is including a USB-c to either USB-C or USB 3 type A port with this single adapter. We're also getting x4 of these little rubber M.2 screw alternatives for securing the drives and Wavlink is including two thermal pads for the SSDs to help transfer heat from the drives into the case which makes the case a passive heatsink. That is a very welcomed addition I'm my opinion, the case itself feels like a quality piece of tech so it's definitely nice to see the desired accessories included.

The offline cloning is a fairly easy and straightforward process, install both drives, connect the power adapter, then press and hold the clone button until all of the lights are blinking, then to confirm the clone, two the clone button again. The cloning speed was relatively good. As for connecting the drives to your PC by USB, you have a few options. By default with two drives installed, they both automatically opened on my PC and I was able to see and browse the drive contents. You can either use these as individual drives, even installing apps or games since they appear as internal drives. I was able to get up to 16ish gbit per second transfer to my PC so that was quite good in my opinion as well. If you wanted though, you could use the built in RAID functionality for Windows 10 and 11 and setup a software powered RAID 0 for increased speed or a software RAID 1 for ensuring the drives have the exact same data written to teaching in case of a drive failure. This is a pretty neat little device. I know desktop PC motherboards have tons of NVMe slots but, you have to open up your PC to access them. If you're on a laptop or a mini PC for example, you probably don't have as many NVMe slots, and maybe you only have 1. A device like this would be super worthwhile if you're the kind of person who works on customer PCs or whatever workflow requires using multiple drives. I definitely would recommend this device if you fall into any of those categories. Right now, it looks like the device is going for 80 to 90 bucks on Amazon depending on any sales and I think that's a solid price for a quality drive enclosure like this.
