AFTER EFFECTS SHORTCUTS
Selection tool: V
Rectangle tool: Q
Pan behind (anchor point) tool: Y
Position properties: P
Rotation properties: R
Scale properties: S
Anchor point properties: A
Undo: Cmd + Z... (Windows: Ctrl + Z)
Hold Cmd... (Windows: Ctrl) to snap anchor point to a corner or centre of shape

✅ VIDEO SUMMARY
To alter the position of your Anchor point simply select the Pan Behind (Anchor Point) Tool, for which the shortcut is "Y" and move the Anchor point. You can animate the position of your Anchor point by bringing up the "Anchor Point" option under "Transform" for your layer, or pressing "A" on your keyboard. Press on the stopwatch to start animating!

To adjust the defaults for centering the Anchor point to the middle of a shape, go to "After Effects", "Preferences" and then under "General" select "Center Anchor Point in New Shape Layers". We also cover one or two simple shortcuts for the Anchor point in this video!
