The problems with 3D Editing. TAD does 3D differently

Once a mountaineer was asked "Why do you want to climb a mountain?" And the answer was "Because it is there"

Sometimes I feel computer programmers approach software design like that. They climb up a programming challenge, because it is there! The don't stop to consider the various ripple effects their programming brings in.

Such as editing in 3D when there is absolutely no way a 2D surface can do real 3D. But they think it is a nice challenge and hang the users who constantly have to rectify editing errors in 3D (If it was a holographic true 3D monitor, I would have not made that statement) If they were to only count the number of times a user actually spends time rectifying skewed surfaces ... And if the software user realized the mistakes only after there were a lots of surfaces, it is frustrating to say the least.

It is not that I could not have programmed 3D editing right into TAD itself. But I deliberately chose not to. The speed that can be achieved in TAD is unbeatable. TAD is an aid for senior architects and not really juniors. These senior architects should not be bothered by silly errors in the software usage! They have other things to do.

This is part of a series of short videos explaining why TAD was coded in this fashion. It works differently. But it works a lot simpler. TAD is free. Try it out. www.teamtad.com
