I think many do not know the entire scope of what #ai really is. I have been involved in it for last 30+ years; having written tutorials for Visual Prolog from Denmark, beta-tested their compilers and actually used AI in several of my projects.
In the area of architecture design, people tend to use AI rather selectively -- to do complete automations of visual forms. Which is quite unreal. Because visual 3D imagery is often the least of the problematic areas in architecture. Architects have to uplift the entire context. The architecture being designed needs to support each and every instance that is happening in life there. To think that the visible forms is what creates a design is extremely naive.
Try explaining the cost of a fancy project to a young couple sitting across your table. They are about to make the costliest purchase of their lives, by buying a design you made. You think that the fancy forms your misplaced AI is what would justify its additional costs? Architects need to use abductive logic, explore several alternatives and only then select the one that works best holistically.
