I, Timmothy Robinson, was conducting my regular patrol duties as a California Highway Patrol officer when my radar indicated a black Akuma motorbike approaching me North, on Panorama Drive. The motorcycle, identified by the radar at 83 MPH, was traveling inside a 60 MPH zone. After the motorcycle passed, I pulled my car to the side of the road, turned around, and activated my rear emergency lights.
Upon reaching the intersection, the suspect turned right onto East Joshua Road and pulled over to the side of the road. I called in the stop on the radio, and an LASD unit arrived to assist me with the traffic stop. As I approached the driver, who identified himself as Dylan Brooks, I explained the reason for the stop. The driver was polite and understanding. Due to his previous record and the speed he was driving, I cited him for CVC 22349 (d).
