Case Number: 102598K18102024
Report Description: DATE: 10/20/2024 | TIME: 12:20 PST | INCIDENT: SHOOTING | WEAPONS INVLOVED: YES | DEATHS/INJURIES: YES 2x Injuried
I, Timmothy Robinson, 4K-124, was driving away from a call of a officer down when I heard multiple gunshots nearby. I immediately called it in over the radio and rushed to the scene. I saw a person in a clown outfit and another in a furry suit exchanging gunfire from a clown van at Postal 300 on the railroad tracks. I pulled out my CHP-issued SMG and ordered the person in the van to drop their weapon and face away as they approched me, which they did. I then waited for backup to arrive. While waiting, I spoke to the person in the furry suit, who informed me that both clowns were down.
When backup arrived, they began to search for the two other clowns. However, they only found one. I then asked the furry, later identified as Jeremey Kyle, for his side of the story. He explained that he was driving down the dirt road when the clowns started attacking his van with their bats. When he attempted to drive away, going uphill, his van stalled out and he accidentally ran over one of the clowns. The other clown pulled a firearm and began shooting at the truck, and he began to fire back in self-defense.
After the clown who was shooting, later identified as Ethan Burgos, was recovered and received medical attention, I talked to him and asked for his side of the story. He stated that his friend was run over by the van, so he pulled out his gun in fear for his own life and shot towards the van. While doing so, 2K-35 found local CCTV footage from the hospital. It showed the clowns attacking the van with baseball bats; however, it did not show anything further.
There is insufficient evidence to confirm whether the vehicle collision was accidental. Consequently, both Ethan Burgos and Jeremey Kyle were arrested for Assault With a Deadly Weapon. Further investigation revealed that Mr. Kyle admitted to being in possession of a firearm, despite being prohibited from owning firearms and having a suspended firearms license. Additionally, the serial number of the firearm was found to have been scratched off.
Jeremey Kyle was arrested for PC 245 | Assault With a Deadly Weapon, 25850 PC (b) Carrying a Loaded FirearmPC 23900 | Altering a Firearm's Identification Information.
