Report Description: DATE: 10/18/2024 | TIME: 14:00 PST | INCIDENT: RECKLESS DRIVING | WEAPONS INVLOVED: NO | DEATHS/INJURIES: NO

I, Timmothy Robinson, 4K-124, was on a ride along with A. Boulden, 3K-78, operating our vehicle-mounted radar system when we both saw a black motorcycle with plate "2FSTFRU" moving at high speeds northbound on Interstate 1. As he passed our patrol vehicle, our radar clocked him going 122 MPH in a 65 MPH zone. We activated our emergency lights and sirens and began to catch up with the suspect. I alerted over the radio of the suspect. He then swerved into the water pumping station, pulled off, and back into northbound traffic before he took the transfer ramp to Interstate 2 South. We followed him as he merged onto the highway.

He suddenly came to a stop after passing a highway overhead sign and pulled off to the right. I and my fellow officer stepped out, with my ride-along pulling his firearm and brandishing my taser. We began giving him commands to step off, put his hands up, and face away from us. While doing so, an additional unit arrived on the scene. I also gave him the command to get on his knees, while my ride-along advised him how to do so. He failed to comply, and after warning him that he would be tased, I discharged my taser at him. He went to the ground, and I cuffed him. Afterward, I helped him and read him his Miranda rights.

After conducting a search on him and finding nothing, I placed him in the back of our patrol vehicle. We then searched for the motorbike and decided to run the plate of the motorcycle in our CAD system. Upon doing so, we found out the motorcycle belonged to an Armani Sharpe. I asked the suspect for his name and he replied "Bob Glender". When I asked if he owned the bike, he informed me that he did not. I then asked him if he knew who the owner was, and he told me he pleaded the 5th. I further asked him if he had permission to ride the bike, and once again he responded with "I plead the 5th". Upon further investigation, the bike was not reported stolen and all attempts to contact the owner failed. After reviewing Mr. Glender's record, I found that he does not possess a Class M license.

Bob Glender was charged with charged with CVC 23103 (a) | Reckless Driving, and CVC 12500 (d) | Licensed Driver out of Classification.
