Ingredients:
10-12 large prawns, deveined, shelled and cleaned with head intact
1/6 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp red chilli powder
1/4 tsp turmeric powder
1/2 tsp ginger garlic paste
1/2 tsp lime juice
1.5 tbs coconut oil/vegetable oil
Instructions:
Begin by cleaning the prawns thoroughly, removing the veins and shells and retaining the head.
In a mixing bowl with the prawns, combine the salt, black pepper, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, ginger garlic paste, and lime juice. Mix well and set aside.
Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add the vegetable oil.
Once the oil is hot, carefully place the prawns in the pan, making sure not to overcrowd them. Fry for 3-4 minutes on one side or until they turn pink and are cooked through.
Turn the prawns on their other sides and arrange in a single layer again and fry for another 1-2 minutes.
Once done, remove the prawns from the pan.
Serve the pan-fried prawns hot with your favourite dipping sauce or as a topping for salads, noodles, or rice.
