Crispy Pan Fried Sea bream with Tangy Soy Glaze

Fried Sea bream with Garlic and Soy Sauce is a deliciously crispy, juicy, and tender dish. The combination of shallots, garlic, and soy sauce adds a delightful salty and savoury flavour to the fish.

Ingredients:

1 sea bream (scored)
Salt, to taste
1/2 lime, juiced
1 tsp pepper
1 tsp mild chili powder
1/2 tsp turmeric
1 tbsp water

Flour Mix
2 tbsp corn flour
2 tsp semolina
1/6 tsp salt

Olive oil, for frying (2-3 tbsp)

Sauce Mix
4-5 shallots, chopped
3-4 cloves garlic, minced
1 green chilli, chopped
1 tbsp oyster sauce
1 tbsp soy sauce
coriander leaves


Method:

Score the seabream and season with salt. Drizzle with lime juice and set aside.
In a bowl, mix pepper, chili powder, turmeric, salt, and water to form a paste. Apply this paste to the fish evenly.
In another bowl, combine corn flour, semolina, and a pinch of salt. Lightly coat the fish with this mixture by tapping it with your fingers.
Heat olive oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Fry the fish until one side is golden brown, then flip and fry until crispy. Set aside.
In the same pan, add chopped shallots, garlic, and green chili. Sauté for 2-3 minutes.
In a small bowl, mix oyster sauce, soy sauce, and water. Pour this mixture into the pan with the shallots and garlic. Cook until the sauce thickens slightly.
Pour the sauce over the fried fish and serve immediately with sticky rice and salad. Enjoy your Crispy Sea bream with Tangy Soy Glaze!
