Spice Level:
Medium (adjust spice levels by reducing or increasing the amount of chili powder and paprika according to your preference)
Ingredients:
600g chicken breast, diced
1.5 tsp mustard paste
1 tsp ginger garlic paste
1/2 cup thick yogurt
1/4 cup water
2 tsp coriander powder
2 tsp chilli powder
1 tsp paprika
1/2 tsp garam masala
1 tsp cumin
1/4 tsp turmeric
Salt, to taste
Instructions:
In a mixing bowl, combine the diced chicken breast, mustard paste, and ginger garlic paste. Set aside.
In a separate bowl, combine the yogurt, water, coriander powder, chilli powder, paprika, garam masala, cumin, turmeric, and salt. Mix well to form a marinade.
Pour the marinade over the marinated chicken and mix thoroughly, making sure all the chicken pieces are evenly coated. Allow the chicken to marinate for 6-8 hours, preferably in the refrigerator.
Preheat your grill or BBQ to medium-high heat. If using an oven, preheat it to 230°C (450°F).
Thread the marinated chicken onto skewers, evenly distributing the pieces.
Place the skewers on the grill or BBQ, or if using an oven, place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Grill or bake the chicken skewers for about 12 minutes on one side.
Flip the skewers and continue grilling or baking for an additional 5-7 minutes, or until the chicken is fully cooked and slightly charred.
Remove the skewers from the grill or oven and let them rest for a few minutes.
Serve the chicken skewers with salads and naan or roti. Enjoy!
