In this educational video, we will examine torsion beams.In some beams, the ETABS
calculates the amount of torsional reinforcement higher than the maximum allowed value for a section with specific dimensions, which is wrong. For this reason, We chose these beams and assigned the torsional constant in (assign-property modifiers).
Because it is a linear analysis, by doing this, we understand to the ETABS that this beam is cracked in twisting and forces must be re-distributed, and finally, when drawing the beams, the longitudinal reinforcement due to twisting is also added manually. Anyway, the software designs some other beams in twisting correctly, but they should be checked with caution
