I borrowed the Panasonic Lumix S1H from Panny for 10 days. A couple of days after giving it back, I bought one! That's how much of an impact it made on me.

I know this camera is now around 18 months old but pfft. I am sick of buying cameras the minute they are released. It can be too much of a gamble.

In hindsight, I certainly wouldn't have bought the Canon EOS 5D Mark IV on release because I seriously overpaid for that. I still use it for stills but am now looking to sell all my Canon gear and move over to Panasonic completely.

By waiting 18 months before buying the Lumix S1H, I have saved around £1050...enough for a half decent lens!

Anyway, the Panasonic S1H is undoubtedly the finest hybrid camera I could find. The stills quality from the 24mp sensor is superb and the video quality is even better. So good in fact that the S1H is the first, and only at the time of writing, mirrorless video camera to be accepted by Netflix.
