I'd heard a lot about the Panasonic Lumix S1H so after a year, I borrowed one from Panasonic to see what all the fuss was about. Just how good is it?

I've been looking for a suitable and workable hybrid camera that can shoot high res, high quality stills and outstanding video in one body. I found it.
I was so impressed after sending it back that a few days later I bought one.
Whilst the 4K UHD, 10-Bit, 4:2:2, 400Mb/s is very similar to the GH5, the full frame sensor and vault of other goodies makes this one hell of a camera.
5.9k @ 30fps, 6k @ 24fps, incredible rear twisty, flippy screen, more menu/shooting/custom choices than all my other cameras put together make this a no brainer for me.
Of course, the image quality from the 24mp, full frame sensor is what really counts. Check out the camera and sample clips above.
Note: The first clip of a yacht coming into Weymouth harbour is a bit choppy. This was due to a rushed stabilisation job rather than anything to do with the camera. After a 3 hour render I decided to leave it in and explain it here : )
