Mount Titlis TOUR - SNOW ALL YEAR-ROUND (Day Trip from Zurich & Lucerne) - fun SNOW TUBING ❄️
Honeymoon Day 15!
We booked a day trip tour from Zurich cuz I really wanted to see/play with snow before we left Europe. Since it was late April, winter season was over, so one of the only nearby options to Zurich was Mount Titlis - which apparently has snow all-year round!
We booked this tour: https://www.switzerland-tours.ch/tour... - CHF172 per pax, 9.5h tour. We even got to stop by Lake Lucerne and Lucerne town for 1hour to take pictures. Only thing is that the tour guide also speaks Spanish, so there's always gonna be Spanish translation lol.
I really recommend this as we took a loong scenic drive up the mountains. Once we reached, alot of the time also has to be allocated to riding the cable car first, then the gondolal (rotating car) up. All-in about 40min one-way! Luckily the tour comes with all the activities including the chair lift, cliff walk, and snow tubing :)
As you can see, we adopted a lone great-grandpa Dan from US. He followed us all the way from Lucerne and did all the activities with us cos he was afraid he'd get lost - which is true lol he almost lost his passport..!
It was so fun snow tubing and I wish we had more time. The tour is packed and we tried to do everything up the mountain.
Evidently, we didn't have proper clothing/shoes LOL so it was freezing. We were 10,000m up! the day we went was also super lucky cos it snowed! It wasn't supposed to snow but this winter was a loong one. Which is why it was sooo cold and windy too. Sometimes the visibility was so bad. but when it cleared, the mountains were just BEAUTIFUL.
Next time I wanna come back and do the actual famous mountains like Zermatt/Matterhorn etc.
Ended the night with reservations at our hotel restaurant (Restaurant Swiss Cuchi) - which is famous! Such a long queue outside. He got cheese fondue which is what they are famous for- he enjoyed the entire pot himself cos I was suffering from morning sickness sighhhh. Expensive dishes so he didn't add any sides like chicken/veg to dip inside- just used the free table breads hehehe.
Tomorrow we fly back to Singapore :( It's been fun!!!!
