Honeymoon Day 14!
THIS IS THE DAY I have been waiting for! I specifically flew to Switzerland just for the chocolates. This has been a dream - and I wanted to cover both museums (which is usually very rare as Laderach is further out).
How I did it: Rented a car (cuz public transport was not straightforward and very long) from the cheapest I could find (Enterprise/Alamo) for 1 day. Upgraded to get a cute mini cooper (cos WHY NOT!)
Bought timed museum entrance tickets in advance. Had to plan it as the museums close early, and I wanted to fit in classes as well. So we had to stick to the timing!
Booked the classes and tours in advance as well, (some days have different timings or do not have classes), so I chose which day to visit the museums.
Both had unlimited free-flow chocolate fountains and chocolate samples!
Lindt experience was more affordable and convenient to get to. Highly recommend the class, because we had so much fun in 1.5h and we got to take home such cool DIY souvenirs!
Laderach was a small-group tour, we got to savour and taste unique experiences - along with so many chocolate samples as well.
My take: if you don't have much time, Lindt is sufficient to visit, but Laderach would only be nice if you have the tour. If you just enter the museum and walk-around yourself, it's not that 'fun'/exciting. The tour brings us behind-the-scenes to the manufacturing overview (no cameras allowed) and cool rooms that others can't go to.
Hope you enjoyed as much as we did! Really gained a new-found appreciation for chocolates hehe.
