Ross Lake stretches the entire length between the North Cascade Highway 20 and Canada. Its crystal-clear waters are renowned for their striking turquoise hue. The lake is rimmed with towering, glacier-capped peaks and encompasses some of the most rugged and remote wilderness in the Pacific Northwest. In this video, we hike to Ross Lake Resort, rent a boat, and travel to the upper reaches of the lake, where we hike to the summit of Desolation Peak. The remoteness and natural splendor of Ross Lake offer visitors a chance to immerse themselves in the tranquility and serenity that can only be found in nature.
