Iron Peak, Teanaway Peak - Washington State

Iron Peak and Teanaway Peak (also known as Gene’s Peak) lie just west of the fabulous Stuart Range and Alpine Lakes Wilderness. The well established trail to Iron Peak is much less traveled than the nearby trail to Lake Ingalls but also offers dramatic views.
For those that seek a challenging scramble, including a Teanaway Peak summit climb makes this route even more rewarding. The jagged rocky ridges of exposed iron ore and mineral deposits enhance this area with ever-changing color and form. This unique area is special to those adventurous hikes that call the Pacific Northwest home.
