My Full Body Dynamic Effort Days are tough. I start with heavy sleds contrast with 15 yard sprints, followed by deficit DB heavy lunges contrast with low hurdle hops to box jumps.

This was 2 x 95 lbs + 55 lb weight vest with a 4 inch deficit.

There’s a bunch of “stuff” after but wanted to show the contrast set and the format of doing single leg work first (the next exercise after that is a belt squat).

While I’m not against bilateral lifts and do them often (and pick the ones that best fit me), I believe the carry over to life and performance (as well as injury prevention) is better with single leg lifts.

My training has improved since making that switch.

Doesn’t mean I’d recommend it for everyone all the time, just like anything else when it comes to training.
