During our semi private personal training session I was taking TJ through some coaching on the box squat as he was about to do his ramp up sets and work up to his working sets for the day.

The coaching has to be individualized for the client based on what you see and their body type as well as coaching style. Many times it will be a mix between verbal, virtual, kinesthetic, and showing what you want to see.

I tend to see the box squat not done as well and safely as possible and here are some of the cues and form that I look for.
