I told you in the previous video, that the next one (this) would be very-very interesting and unexpected. I think, that I definitely kept my promise!
Here we have the fastest elevators in the tallest building behind the Urals in Asian part of Russia. That's the Aquamarine residential complex (or tower, because it has only one building), which is, of course, located in Vladivostok, my hometown. The project itself has a long story: its development had started in 2009, when a Chinese company wanted to build a real landmark on Burny Cape, but, unfortunately, they completed only several floors of this building and then went bankrupt. However, in 2017 the construction had resumed under a new company and brand. Unluckily, the "new" project consisted only of one tower, all other land wasn't bought by developer, who had successfully constructed the building, which if didn't become a new symbol of the city, but really caught the attention of architectural community not only in Russia, but even in East Asia. In February 2021 the Aquamarine with its 41 floors (+3 technical) and the height of 155 meters was fully completed and solemnly opened to residents. It is also interesting, that the Aquamarine has the most expensive real property among new-built apartments in the city, so it is not only the tallest, but also the most elite, if calling it correctly..
I should mention, that the building has a restaurant on the first floor (it is not only for residents, certainly) and the operated roof with helipads and kind of terraces on the 43rd floor; a great view opens from there, which you can see in my Instagram post. Thankfully, all guests of the restaurant are able to go up to the rooftop with a staff member. As you see, I used this option and filmed the fastest elevators in the far east of the country for you.
The building has eight similar Korean-made thyssenkrupp lifts, which were installed in October, 2020. Four of them are for passengers, another four are "freight" and also could be used by firefighters. They have the same capacity of 1350kg (or 20 persons) and they're all of zeta200 series, the exact model is not written in the documentation for some reasons, but I believe, that it is either TK-50L or ZETA-1. The speed of all lifts in the Aquamarine is four meters per second, four of them serve 1 to 39 floors, four others go from third basement to 39: 41 floors in total. The fixtures are rather typical for Korean thyssenkrupps, they have LCD indicators and square buttons, also they have air cleaners, which can be seen on 0:35. The important thing is that official TK distributor in Russia has never sold Korean-made elevators, so these ones were directly important from the factory in Cheonan. It is not so weird as it might sound, because the price of such TKs could be even cheaper, than analogues from some distributors.
All in all, I hope, that you will enjoy these fastest elevators in the tallest skyscraper, if I speak about Vladivostok and the whole far east.
