Hello Friends, welcome back!!! Today, I want to share my experience with my Mahindra XUV 700 AX7L, which I purchased nearly two months ago. I must say, it's been a mix of emotions with this car - plenty of positives, but also some disappointments. I decided to make this video to provide insights for those considering buying this car, outlining both its pros and cons, and the factors you should consider before making a decision.
Firstly, let me clarify, I'm not a car expert. I don't have a background in mechanical engineering or automotive assessment. My perspective comes purely from that of an end-user, someone who doesn't have an extensive knowledge of cars but purchased this brand new Mahindra XUV 700 with high hopes.
One major issue I've encountered is with the infotainment system. There's a notorious problem with the screen going black intermittently. Even as I sit in the car making this video, the screen remains unresponsive. Despite software upgrades, this issue persists, casting a shadow over an otherwise positive driving experience.
Moving on to the features, while the Indian variant boasts built-in navigation and wireless Apple CarPlay, these are notably absent in the Australian version. It's essential to manage expectations based on the features listed in the brochure provided by the dealer. The infotainment issue is consistent and something Mahindra needs to address promptly.
Another aspect worth mentioning is the build quality. While some may not notice, there are imperfections like uneven window linings, detracting from the overall finish of the car. Additionally, certain advertised features like inbuilt Alexa functionality are missing, highlighting a discrepancy between expectations and reality.
One plausible reason for the disparity in features between markets could be the complexity of maintaining these systems. Increasing features often correlates with a higher likelihood of faults, leading to more frequent visits to service centers, a costly affair, particularly in Australia.
Despite these drawbacks, the driving quality is commendable. Coming from a sedan background, I find the transition to an SUV smooth, with satisfactory speaker quality.
In conclusion, my experience with the Mahindra XUV 700 AX7L has been mostly positive, marred only by persistent software issues and certain missing features. As an Indian with a connection to Mahindra, I genuinely hope they address these concerns and continue to improve their products in the Australian market.
To potential buyers, weigh the pros and cons carefully, considering your personal preferences and priorities. While there's room for improvement, the decision ultimately rests on individual needs and preferences.
Thank you for watching this video, and I hope this review provides valuable insights for those considering purchasing a Mahindra car. Good luck with your decision-making process!
