In this video, Giustina Rosello, OTR/L is having her patient pinning the pinch pins on a low theraband to practice low reach since this particular patient has a front loading dryer that gives her trouble. Her patient struggles bending down and being able to reach into the dryer to take the clothes out. Pin Pinch is popular in occupational therapy to help build hand and finger strength. There are 5 colored coded pinch pins that progress with resistance; resistance ranges from 1 Ib. to 8 Ibs. The different colors help to show if and when the patient's pinch strength is improving over time.
