Gait & Balance Training
Dr. Renee Vaccaro, PT, DPT is working with her patient to help improve his gait, balance, mobility, movement, muscle strengthening, and more. Dr. Vaccaro has her patient walking with the help of herself and his walker. Gait training is a type of physical therapy to help treat an injury or a physical condition that limits or prohibits the ability to walk or walk correctly. Gait training exercises may include walking on a treadmill, lifting your legs, sitting down, standing up and even stepping over objects.
About Renee Vaccaro, PT, DPT
Renee has her DPT from the New York Institute of Technology and her Bachelors of Science with a concentration in Healthcare Management from Stony Brook University. She has been practicing for over 14 years with much of her experience in neurological rehabilitation treating patients with spinal cord injuries, stroke, Parkinson’s, and Multiple Sclerosis, however, her experience reaches into orthopedics and geriatrics as well. She approaches her patients holistically and empathetically to see them reach their fullest potential. In her spare time, she enjoys outdoor activities such as camping, hiking, and cycling, as well as traveling, and spending time with family and friends.

As well as providing care in our 7 clinics, we also provide physical therapy and occupational therapy in patients homes throughout Manhattan, Brooklyn, Bronx, Queens, Staten Island, Nassau county & Suffolk County (Long Island).
