Double Knee To Chest Exercise
Niyati Patel, PT received her Bachelors in Physical Therapy from India. She then received her Masters’ in Exercise Science and Nutrition from the State University of New York at Buffalo. Niyati started her career as a physical therapist in 2016 in India where she worked in a hospital for 6 months and in an outpatient clinic for 3 months. Niyati has been practicing in the US since 2018.
In this video, Niyati has her patient working on double knee to chest exercises with a physio ball. This exercise is helping to work on the patient's core strength and mobility of her hips and knees. Stretching these muscles helps make them more flexible and increases range of motion. Stretching plays a vital role in any physical activity as it improves blood circulation and provides nutrients to joints and muscle. Therapists recommend knee-to-chest exercise after doing household work like gardening or prolonged sitting at your desk.
