Today I decided to make garlic buns for soup and am sharing the recipe with you. Soft on the inside and slightly crunchy on the outside. We will cook with water - nothing complicated, just basic ingredients. These garlic buns have a bread-like texture, do not crumble or fall apart.
They have a chewy, pleasant bread crumb and a rich aroma of garlic with a slight hint of sweetness from honey.
Ingredients:
Poolish:
50 g flour
5-6 g dry yeast
½ tbsp honey
55 ml warm water
Dough:
all poolish
230g flour
2 tsp sugar
1 tsp salt
120 ml warm water
Garlic butter:
40 g soft butter
2 large cloves of garlic
1 tsp honey
¼ tsp salt
greens to taste - chives or parsley taste the best with garlic
Bake at 200C (392F) -15-20 minutes until light golden brown.
