A first look mini-review of Newfangled Audio's new plugin Generate!

This is such a fun, special synth - there's nothing else like it. The chaotic generators produce a wide range of sounds, and the UI encourages quick experimentation and play.

I actually had trouble shooting this video because I kept wandering off into soundscapes and experiments - that's why it's a 'first look', it's going to take a long time to get to full grips with this!

The technical specs don't really tell the whole story, but there are 2 envelopes, 2 lfos, a sample and hold modulator, and a sequence generator .. plus the low pass gate having its own ADSR. Plus all the modulators can output multiple shapes or stages ... it's very full-featured.

The chaos generators and the wavefolders really create rich textures, and they encourage 'movement' in sounds, so even before the modulators there's a good chance your patch will be ducking and weaving and sliding around.

Plus four built-in effect modules which are top-notch! EQ, Chorus, Delay and Reverb built right in.

Disclosure: I heard Newfangled Audio were working on "something new" and reached out to them to find out about it. They did provide me with a license for Generate, but didn't pay for this review. I think it's exciting enough to feature it! :)
