In this video I show you how to get a thick deep reese style bass, perfect for liquid DnB - inspired by Kanine. One of the keys to this sound is getting a "wide" sound, but without the phasing from unison. So we use Serum's hyper effect to do the hard work. We also use a multi-filter, and some distortion before a multiband compressor to bring up the top end again. Then we filter off the top end, so we have a thick rick sound which we can open up as needed by our mixdown. Then I show some modulation variations using an LFO to recreate a similar sound to the original's end-of-phrase distorted bass sound.
