How to make a roller bass in Serum, inspired by Alix Perez.
This turned out to be a pretty simple sound, but it took a while to get the right order of distortions and filters. In this example we have two filters, both with resonance, feeding into a waveshaper (Serum's X-Shaper) to get the right style of grit.
The sound itself is a unison saw (although you can use unison square as well for a different kind of character) feeding into those two filters, then the distortion and into some spatial effects to get a bigger, roomier sound.
This sound was inspired by the main bass in Alix Perez's tune Vibrations from the Phantonym EP.
