Organising VSTs Using Shortcuts (Ableton Live)
A while ago I realised I could use shortcuts (or aliases on MacOS) to organise my VST folder. This way Ableton looks in one place and can see all my VST2s, without me having to install them all in the same folder.
It also lets me create categories for effects, so I can browse just my modulation effects, or just my filters .. and so on.
