This video describes an algorithm that I came up with* several years ago that allows you to find the location and heading of a robot using math that is possible to do on a microcontroller.

I have come up with things before that I later found were previously invented by someone else so it is possible that this is already a known method of locating your robot. I haven't seen this method previously though.
