Thanks for watching our video. We held the 2021 Kgalagadi wildlife photo competition awards at the Kgalagadi lodge on 8, 9 and 10 October and the event lived up to the previous years standards. The main sponsors Kgalagadi lodge and Kgalagadi photography and Joes Camera announced a even larger total prizes and additional categories. The event was held on the dunes behind the lodge where Komani San dancers entertained the finalists before everyone moved to the Restaurant area where SJ Koortzen the owner of the lodge personally prepared the steaks to each s requirements. The standard of the competition was much improved as more photographers entered and the standard improved remarkably of many photographers. More than 1500 photos were entered. The winner Hugh Michler won a weekend all on the house during the prizegiving weekend as well as R10000 cash and 10 nights accommodation at the lodge. His winning image will also be enlarged and displayed for the duration of the year until the next winner will be announced.
