Here are some LinkedIn Ads audience exclusions to consider when refining your audience targeting.
1) Seniorities: In most cases, you'll want to exclude lower-level job seniorities like entry, training, and unpaid.
2) Competitors: LinkedIn Ads can be expensive, so avoid showing your ads to competitors. You can upload a competitor company list or manually enter your competitors' names.
3) Job Titles: This is one of the best exclusion criteria. Review your demographic data and exclude any irrelevant job titles. Students are typically a good one to exclude.
4) Converters and clients: Exclude current clients or anyone who has already converted. In this example, I excluded those who had already submitted a lead gen form for a demo request.
5) Company names: Exclude your company name, especially when retargeting website visitors campaigns, and any other irrelevant job titles you see in the audience insights or demographics data.
6) Industries: Exclude any irrelevant industries. I typically exclude staffing and recruiting when retargeting since recruiters will sometimes visit a company's website.
