The International Basketball Federation (FIBA), based in Geneva, Switzerland, is an association of national organizations which governs the sport of basketball worldwide.

FIBA defines the rules of basketball, specifies the equipment and facilities required, organises international competitions, regulates the transfer of athletes across countries, and controls the appointment of international referees. A total of 213 national federations are now members, organized since 1989 into five zones: Africa, Americas, Asia, Europe, and Oceania.

At the start of TV broadcasts of various tournaments organized by the Geneva-based governing body, FIBA identified themselves with a short signature intro reel, in which it included the organization's symbol and especially, in later years, the logo for the tournament itself.

This here is how FIBA's signature opening titles from 2010 was being made. Besides the opener itself, much of the TV graphics were all produced by Bandito & Co., a Paris-based independent broadcast media and motion graphics agency.
