Recently, I had an appointment with an ear, nose and throat doctor. She was shocked I was using such a small size tracheostomy tube. She wanted to increase the size of my tracheostomy tube. I ordered a tracheostomy tube which was one size larger than my current tracheostomy tube. At my next appointment, the doctor changed the tracheostomy tube to the larger size.
