Recently, I have been having a lot of pain, irritation and itchiness associated with my permanent intravenous line (IV line) called a PICC line which I use for my IV nutrition called TPN. I was sent to the emergency department at the hospital because there was a concern the area around the PICC line either had contact dermatitis or an infection.
