How to Clean Messy Coordinates for Map-Ready Data, Without Code
If you spend much time making maps of the things that interest you, you're bound be scraping data from the web from time to time. Sometimes it's clean and easy, most times the data isn't perfect. Here's how to separate a single "coordinates" field into individual latitude and longitude fields, and reformat data from degrees minutes seconds to decimal degrees, so yoru map programs can gobble it up.
