I’m going to show you how to make Onigiri with Karaage chicken and Teriyaki sauce. These Japanese rice balls are very easy to make.
👩🍳 Ingredients for 8 Onigiri:
1 lb short grain rice
2 cups + 1/8 cup of water
Marinade:
2 chicken thighs
1 tsp grated ginger
2 garlic cloves
A pinch of salt
¼ tsp ground pepper
1 tbsp cooking sake
1 tbsp light soy sauce
Teriyaki Sauce:
2 tbsp cooking sake
2 tbsp mirin
2 tbsp light soy sauce
1 tsp dark soy sauce
2 tbsp sugar
2 oz potato starch
4 sheets of nori seaweed
Frying oil
