CNN's Chairman and CEO, Chris Licht just got the BOOT!
This after just over a YEAR on the job!
It's not a total shock, since his tenure was riddled with disasters.
There was the flop of the CNN+ streaming service that only lasted a MONTH, the network's plunging ratings, and behind-the-scenes anger about the fawning Donald Trump town hall last month.
But ultimately, it was a profile in The Atlantic that brought Licht down!
The article, which he participated in and allowed the journalist to follow him around for months, slammed his judgement, his professional persona, and his ego - and it went VIRAL!
Licht's boss, "Warner Brothers Discovery" CEO David Zaslav had enough at that point, and kicked him to the curb.
A number of top executives will run CNN until a replacement is found.
