Shohei Ohtani's "fifty-fifty" ball just became the most expensive baseball in history!

You may recall that the L.A. Dodgers superstar became the ONLY player in Major League Baseball history to steal fifty bases AND hit fifty home runs in a single season.

Well, the ball he hit for that fiftieth homer just sold at auction for an incredible four-point-three-nine MILLION dollars.

That completely DEMOLISHED the previous record of a smidge over THREE million, fetched for Mark McGwire's 1998 seventieth-home run ball.

That said, it's not yet known exactly who will GET this big financial windfall! While the ball ended up in the hands of fan
Christian Zacek, TWO other fans have filed suits alleging they had it first.

The money from the sale will be held until the court decides exactly who the rightful owner is. The identity of the
deep-pocketed NEW owner hasn't been revealed, either.
