Customising my mom Jeans - Bleaching and Painting! Watch this video to see how I customised a pair of denim jeans to have a funky twist. These are unusual, individual and wearable. The bright pop of colour brightens up the look and uplifts any outfit!

I was inspired by Jame's Christopher's "bleaching clothes" video, I recreated a similar version of his jeans after quickly coming to love the design. Please show his video some love!

What you'll need:
A pair of jeans
Soap bar (use to mark the jeans)
30cm ruler
Tape (section off desired bleached/painted area)
Plastic bags (protect the rest of the jeans/the floor)
Spray bottle
Bleach
Paints (I used white, yellow and orange)
Paint brushes
Cloth (to clean up/put under jeans when paining)

STEPS:
Choose the leg you wish to bleach, fold the jeans leaving the leg out.
With soap, mark out where you want to bleach up to, drawing an even line with the soap and a ruler.
Apply tape around the jeans on the drawn line.
Place the folded jeans in a bag to protect them. tape the bag to the jeans to seal any gaps.
Fill a spray bottle with bleach and spray the denim.
Cover both sides evenly.
Hang up the jeans in a safe place and leave them to process.
After around an hour (time varies depending on the denim and how light you want them to be) wash the bleach out of the denim.
Leave to dry.
draw the section you wish to paint with the soap bar and apply tape again.
Fix any bleaching mishaps with white paint or re-bleach with a paintbrush.
Mix the paint to get your desired colour. For this video, I mixed a lot of bright yellow with white and a tiny bit of the orange. The white makes the colour pop however not as fluorescent. The orange darkened the yellow slightly.
Begin to paint your desired colour on the denim. Cover the patch with 3 layers of paint.
leave to dry or blow-dry with a hairdryer on the cool setting.
peel off the tape.
Then you're done! ))
