WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
Lip liner (or something red/pink you can draw the guideline with)
Liquid latex
Tissues
A barbecue skewer (or some sort of stick to mould the prosthetic that you can throw away after)
Foundation and concealer
Face powder
Pink eyeshadows/blush
Purple eyeshadow
Black and brown eyeshadow
Fake blood
STEPS:
Begin with your normal base makeup.
Then, with the lipliner (or alternative) draw a guideline for where you want the SFX slit throat / SFX severed head to be placed.
Add the liquid latex along this line and apply a strip of issue to it.
Saturate the tissue in liquid latex and begin to mould it into position.
This should be the bottom section of the cut. Flatten the bottom of the tissue to your skin but peel away the top part, so it looks like the skin on your neck has been sliced.
Work your way around your neck
Add another layer for strength
Repeat the same process, however for the top section of the cut. The top of the tissue should be flat to your skin but the bottom should be peeled away, creating a form of 'flap'.
Leave to dry. To speed it up, use a hairdryer on the cool setting.
Cover the liquid latex with foundation and concealer, then set with powder.
Begin to create irritation around the SFX cut by applying lots of pink eyeshadow and blush. Create bruising with purple.
On the inside of the cut, fill it in with the red/pink lipliner or alternative.
Cover this with brown and black eyeshadow to create depth in the cut, but to still give it that rosy flesh undertone.
Begin to fill it he cut with fake blood carefully.
Add some fake blood spatters around the wound to tastefully add extra detail and hide the join line between the liquid latex prosthetic and your skin.
make any finishing touches, then you're done!
