The Sole Trap
Mistakes to Avoid:
❌ Lifting your foot too high can make it difficult to time the trap and increase the chances of the ball going underneath your foot.
❌ Keeping your foot parallel to the ground makes it challenging to stop the ball with the correct part of the sole.
❌ Poor timing or taking your eyes off the ball as it approaches can lead to a lack of control.
Corrections:
✅ Always keep your eyes on the ball to help with the timing of the trap.
✅ Use the front part of your sole to trap the ball, never the heel.
✅ Keep your foot at a slight angle by pointing your toes up. This helps you cushion the ball more effectively.
