I did some tests with this Pistol System I made, the aim is based on the camera end location for having a true crosshair
The test project includes the following components:
Blendspaces: Standard Walk Run and Pistol Walk Run Locomotion.
Animations: Shoot and Reload.
Particles: Gun muzzle and Impact sparks.
Decals: Bullet Hit Hole.
Sound effects: Pistol and Bullet Impact
3D Models: Gun and Bullet.
Other features: Camera Shake and Crosshair.
