The well varnished (transparent glue for rigid PVC/sewage pipes, smell acetone) wooden board is 1,8 cm up to 2 cm thick. Video about a 2 transistor pre-amp circuit for audio 20 Hz-20 KHz- made with an electrostatic capsule microphone. They are very cheap and have extremely good microphone properties (50-14 KHz range, often they cost 2 Euro or Dollar). The video shows the principals from the practical circuit, so not (only) the schematic.

In thematic order you can find these video’s under the “comments” section. My books about electronics are available via the website from “Lulu”, search for author “Ko Tilman” there. My books are also available via Barnes and Noble and via Amazon. Regarding all my video’s: I constantly keep them actual, so the original video’s with the most recent information are always on YouTube. That is the source, and search there. When my video’s are reproduced or re-edited on other websites/channels you can not (!) be sure about the original content (=really working electronics) and important adaptations to the circuit.
I saw on the internet many of my circuits reproduced in a poor or even not proper way. I can not help that.
Also important: when you say that it is “better” to make the circuit in an X or Y way, you will get the same answer: make that better circuit that you have in mind an publish it on your You Tube channel. My YT channel is a beginners channel that wants to invite people to do experiments and find out the FUN from really working circuits.
