At least ten people have been injured after a ski lift COLLAPSED at a resort in Spain! According to reports, the FIFTY-foot-high ski lift had a pulley come loose, causing a cable to lose tension and several chairs to flip and fall! Roughly eighty people still on the lift had to be rescued.
The FDA has given the A-OK to nicotine pouches! They've approved ten flavors of the Philip Morris product Zyn, including coffee and mint. This marks the first time regulators have authorized the sale of nicotine pouches, though they’ve been around and under review for over a decade! For those unfamiliar, nicotine pouches are basically like chewing tobacco, though less harmful – and the idea is that they will help people to quit smoking!
And a secret tunnel between the U.S. and Mexico discovered earlier this month is being sealed off by Mexican authorities! According to army officials, the tunnel connecting Mexico’s Ciudad Juarez with El Paso, Texas was hidden in a storm sewer. Officials estimate it took 1 to 2 years to build and was roughly six feet high and four feet wide with lighting, ventilation, and reinforced walls. In other words, everything needed for easy smuggling of drugs and people.
