Please read the description first. Question in this video: “What is the lowest voltage where an Astable MUVIB made with 2 Silicon transistors can work?
Correction: on transistor 1 in the schematic we read/see "K", but that is also 1 K (=1000 Ohm).
Just like the other transistor in the circuit, by the way.
Thanks to one of my followers (at least he reacted on that earlier video) G0HZU, he attended me on the “Peltz oscillator”, that I did not know.
His YT Channel / @g0hzu
It triggered me to make this video: reason is the physical properties of Germanium and Silicium materials, they are decisive for the minimum Voltage (and their Voltage borders) where a semiconductor material made of Silicium or Germanium can work, given its properties, its valence bands etc.
Well/now it is in the order of 0.7 Volt for Silicium, I think.
Much more info is in the video, also a schematic is showed + a demo circuit of an oscillator.
Where to use this circuit? As a simple (audio) oscillator working on only 1 battery of (say) 1.5 Volt or 1.2 Volt, to “beep through” audio circuits or even HF circuits. Mounted into a probe.
It can also work on somewhat higher audio frequencies, perhaps the harmonics (or the base frequency) of this simple oscillator is/are also usable to test electronic circuits, drive a transistor, etc.
Output of the oscillator circuit goes via a capacitor Of 100 N or 10 N or even 4N7 to a probe.
Other side (electrode, watch the schematic, the minus = (-)) of that probe goes via a crocodile clip to the minus, (-).
Such a 2 transistor BC 547 b signal injector works, thus, only on 1 battery of 1.5 Volt. And (I think) for a quite long time, till that battery is depleted to 0,7 Volt.

My You Tube channel trailer is here: • Radiofun232 on YouTube. Updated month...
When you search, search always “NEWEST FIRST” to get the right overview.
You can also search via the “looking glass” on my Channel trailer via keywords like ”audio”, “radio”, “amplifier”, “filter”, “Shortwave”, “transistor”, “FET”, “oscillator”, “generator”, “switch”, “schmitt trigger” etc; so the electronic subject you are interested in.
My books about electronics & analog radio technology are available via the website of "LULU”, search for author “Ko Tilman” there.

I keep all my YT videos constant actual, so the original video’s with the most recent information are always on YouTube. Search there, and avoid my circuits that are republished, re-arranged, re-edited on other websites, giving not probable re-wiring, etc. Some persons try to find gold via my circuits. I take distance from all these fake claims. I cannot help that these things happen. Upload 5 January 2024.
