How would you like a 4 day work week?
That could be the case in California after a new bill was introduced in the states assembly.
Under the proposal, the official work week would become thirty-two hours for companies with five hundred or more employees.
Workers would make time-and-a-half or more for anything OVER that!
Affected employers would also be prevented from reducing a worker’s pay, even though they’re working fewer hours!
The California Chamber of Commerce has called it a “job killer”, but evidence from other countries suggests it works wonders, with big boosts in productivity and worker well-being!
So what do you think: would you support a bill like this where you live?
